During a press conference, the mayor pointed out that the initiative came through a federal government project, which acted with municipalities around the country to modernize bus fleets.
“Rio Branco never had new buses, the buses here were used … Now, for the first time, Rio Branco will have half of his fleet like new buses,” said the mayor.
In addition, Bocalom emphasized the quality of the new vehicles. “The buses go with air conditioning, brand new, clean, walking at the right time, and for those who talk a lot about the environmental issue, they are less polluting than the previous ones, so that’s it, I’m happy,” he said.
Councilman Márcio Mustafa was present in the mayor’s office and also answered the press, and spoke about the new Growth Acceleration Project (PAC) that provides low interest loans.
“This project is from the federal government, from Lula, is the low interest loan. It is lower than any number of banks,” said Mustafa.
“With this we can buy 50% of the new fleet of the new and who earns with it is the population,” he said.
