Payment of R $ 4.5 BI benefits 3.8 million workers with a formal contract that earn up to 2 minimum wages
Workers born in May and June who earn up to 2 minimum wages can withdraw the PIS/Pasep salary allowance from Thursday (15.MAI.2025).
Caixa Econômica Federal offers more than R $ 4.5 billion for payment to approximately 3.8 million beneficiaries with a formal contract for the base year 2023.
The 2025 salary allowance calendar began on February 17 and ends on August 15, with 6 lots distributed according to the month of birth of the worker. The values can be drawn until December 29, 2025.
The Codefat (Deliberative Council of the Worker Support Fund) approved the schedule at the end of last year. Workers can verify the situation of the benefit by the digital work card or by the Gov.br Portal.
In total, 25.8 million workers will receive the allowance throughout Brazil. Of these, 22 million are from private initiative (PIS) and 3.8 million are public servants, state and military employees (Pasep).
Caixa makes the payment of PIS, while paying the Pasep. The total amount made available for withdrawal throughout this year’s calendar is $ 30.7 billion.
To be entitled to the benefit, it is necessary to be registered with PIS/Pasep for at least 5 years and have been working formally for at least 30 days in the base year 2023, with an average monthly remuneration of up to 2 minimum wages. Workers’ data must have been reported correctly by the employer at RAIS (annual social information relationship).
The amount of the allowance is proportional to the period worked with a portfolio signed in 2023. Each month is equivalent to R $ 126.50, with periods equal to or greater than 15 days counted as a full month. Those who worked the 12 months of 2023 will receive the full amount of the minimum wage: R $ 1,518.
The funds come from the FAT (Worker Support Fund), which finances the salary allowance for workers with a formal contract after the 1988 Constitution. The benefit should not be confused with the quotas of the former PIS/PASEP Fund, which includes about 10.5 million formal workers who contributed before the Constitution.
Private initiative workers with Caixa account receive credit automatically. The other beneficiaries receive through digital social savings, moved by the Caixa Tem application. If it is not possible to open the digital account, withdrawal can be done with the citizen card and password at self -service terminals, lottery units, cashier here or agencies.
For Pasep beneficiaries, payment occurs via credit to account holders from Banco do Brasil. Workers without account in BB can make TED transfer to their own accounts for the terminals of self -service, portal or cashier of the agencies, presenting official identity document.
Those who do not have an account at Caixa or Banco do Brasil can access the benefit through Portal Gov.br, in the service “receive salary allowance”, provided it has an account at silver or gold levels on the platform.
The current schedule was modified by 2021. By 2020, the previous year’s allowance was paid between July of the current year and June of the following year. In early 2021, Codefat accepted the recommendation of the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union) and changed the calendar, depositing the benefit two years after the period worked with a formal contract.
