Putin met with top officers to discuss peace negotiations in Türkiye

Although Vladimir Putin is not present in the negotiations, Kremlin confirmed that the Russian President has first met with top officers. They have discussed peace negotiations with Ukraine, but so far no decision has been advanced.

The name of Which will join the Russian delegation that goes to Turkey to negotiate with Ukraine, however, Kremlin confirmed on Thursday that the president of Russia met with top officers to discuss peace negotiations.

Among those present at this meeting were Minister of Defense, Andrei Belousov, Russian General Chief of Staff, Valery Gerasimov, and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Putin does not go to Türkiye and sends Russian delegation

Putin rejected Zelensky’s proposal to meet in person, and decided to send his advisor Vladimir Medinsky to Turkey, Foreign Deputy Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin, and Igor Kostyukov, head of the Russian Military Intelligence Agency (GRU).

The list also includes a group of specialized consultants, including high employees of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, and the presidential administration.
