The Kremlin says that Putin has no intention of traveling to Istanbul: “You have to wait for the outcome of the negotiations.”

Vladimir Putin has no plans to travel to Istanbul, where they have to start today direct negotiations between delegates of Russia and Ukraine. The Russian president leaves his possible trip to Türkiye in the future result of direct contacts.

“You have to wait for the result of the negotiations”said the spokesman of the Russian presidency, Dmitri Peskov, at his daily telephone press conference. “We do not know if Ukrainian negotiators will appear and how negotiations will take place. The Russian part is prepared and waits in Istanbul.”
