This Wednesday (14), the Minister of Social Development, Wellington Dias, told Reuters that “there is no study or this proposal” to increase the amount paid to Bolsa Familia to $ 700.00 per month from 2026.
On the same day, the column of journalist Thomas Traumann, in Veja magazine, stated that, among many other measures that would be elaborated by the federal government, the Ministry of Social Development would be preparing a proposal to raise to the value of Bolsa Familia to $ 700.00 from January next year.
Sources heard by Reuters at the Ministry of Finance also reported that they were unaware of the alleged proposal.
