Awarded by UNESCO by a continuing education project in teachers in Curitiba, educator Maria Sílvia Bacila was appointed pedagogical executive secretary of the education portfolio of the city of São Paulo.
She states that she wants to bring the experience developed in the Project Trainee Veredas to the 13 Regional Education Directorates of the city.
“It is essential to listen to our local teachers to take a note of reality faced at the tip that affects student learning. Throughout meetings with regional we are measuring the pulse of our schools to maintain what works and adopt new strategies to reach good performance,” said the new executive secretary.
One of the goals, according to her, is to align her performance with the priority established by Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) to increase learning assessment from Ideb, the evaluative method of the Ministry of Education.
