Brazilian politicians who accompanied the president (PT) at the funeral of José “Pepe” Mujica, held on Thursday (15.MAI.2025) in Montevideo, the former Uruguayan President, who died on Tuesday (13.MAI) at 89 years old.

It included the Senator (PT-PE) and the federal deputies (PSOL-SP) and (B-RJ PC), as well as the president of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development), Aloizio Mercadante, and the Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Márcio Macedo.

Quoted to the General Secretariat, Boulos his respect to the Uruguayan leader, wishing him to rest in peace.

Through his X (former Twitter) profile, Jandira Feghali the importance of the former Uruguayan president as one of the world’s greatest leaders and sent condolences to widow Lucía Topolansky and the Uruguayan people.
