Businesswoman Manuela, owner of the Odonto Company Dental Clinic, located in downtown Rio Branco, made a strong outburst on social networks after having the establishment stolen twice in less than 30 days – even being installed in front of the military police barracks.
In a video recorded next to the police unit, Manuela denounced the public insecurity and reported the damage suffered. One of the thefts occurred at dawn on a holiday, when criminals dug and stole about 80 meters of copper wires from the clinic, causing an estimated loss of $ 10,000.
“It’s revolting. The clinic is exactly in front of the barracks. Here on the side is the side gate where the officers enter. Even so, the bandits acted with total freedom at 3 am,” he criticized.

According to her, the first crime occurred during the Holy Week holiday, when four 70mm copper wires were taken. “They exchanged the wires for $ 40 and two crack stones,” he said. In the second theft, the criminals took the water pump from the clinic, essential equipment for the operation of the office.
The businesswoman stated that the surroundings of the clinic is constantly occupied by drug users, who use the external drinking fountain and remain nearby. “They already feel comfortable. It’s like residents there,” he said. According to her, the criminals are not even intimidated by the presence of public agencies nearby. The building where the clinic also works also houses a sector of Rio Branco City Hall, which was also almost recently theft.

“Even so, the bad guys acted with total freedom at 3 am,” said Manuela / ReproductionManuela, showed frustration with the absence of policing, even being next to a military police guardhouse. “It is not a hidden building, without lighting. We are in the city center, and yet we do not see policing. During the dawn, there is no single car,” he lamented.
The case generated commotion among traders and residents of the central region, who also demand measures from the authorities. “We pay 25% of tax revenue and there is not even the basics, which is security. It seems that it is easier to be bandit than being honest today,” said Manuela.
She says that after the episodes she had to invest in extra safety measures such as external sensors, movement detection alarms, enlightenment reinforcement and exchange of copper wires for aluminum wires in an attempt to minimize future damage. “Unfortunately, we will have to sacrifice comfort to ensure safety.”
The shake was not just financial, but emotional. “I’m afraid to wake up and find everything broken into again. The businessman is surviving in Acre,” he said.
At the end of the outburst, Manuela appealed to the authorities: “They have already stole Caixa Econômica, tried to steal Banco do Brasil and now my clinic. Acre has become a lawless land. And this is no police fault, but the lack of effective and investment. The way it is, it doesn’t happen.”
