The main authorities responsible for the organization, which occurs in Belém in November, are expected to participate in the 2nd Climate and Nature Finance Forum, from May 26 to 27 in Rio de Janeiro.
On the first day, they are expected for the “Financing Challenges: What to expect from COP30” the conference director, Ana Toni, businessman Dan Ioschpe, a high-level climate champion, and Marcele Oliveira, the presidency’s young climate champion. The mediator will be Iago Hairon, manager of the Open Society Foundations.
On the second day of the forum, the president of COP30, ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, will be the main speaker.
The panel will discuss strategies to obtain resources that boost low carbon economy.
The Forum is organized by seven civil society institutions – Arapyaú Institute, Aya Institute, Climate and Society Institute (ICS), Igarapé Institute, Itaúsa Institute, Open Society Foundations and a concertation by the Amazon.
