Brazil is experiencing an epidemic of dependence on games. The advance of online bet addiction is felt in the offices, where doctors report high in the search for treatment.
A recent survey by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security showed that the Bets reached second place in the number of bets in the country, losing only to lottery games.
According to the study, 71.3% of players bet on the lottery, 32.1% in BET; and 28.9% in the animal game.
“I lost the self -respect and I became a zombie,” recalls Professor Hélio S., addicted to Bets, but never sought help. He has already played 18 hours straight and lost more than $ 6,000.
Dependence led Helium to borrow money from relatives and friends, and many departed from him. “They saw me like irresponsible, a poor guy,” says the educator. “I got to pick up cans and work at night as a cleaning assistant to pay off the debts,” he says.
His health was also shaken by the addiction. “I had bleeding, dizziness and a lot of chest pain because of adrenaline, lack of sleep and food,” recalls the teacher in this episode of the 1st person.

The Bets CPI, which has viralized with the media testimony of the businesswoman and digital influencer Virginia Fonseca faces difficulties to approve new requirements.
The commission was extended by the president of the House, David Alcolumbre (Brazil-AP Union), on April 30 for another 45 days, a period much shorter than that defended by the rapporteur, Soraya Thronicke (Somos-MS). She insists on taking the commission by the end of the year, with another 130 days, but has not had support.
