American singer Chris Brown was maintained in custody after attending a British court on Friday, accused of causing serious bodily injuries to what the prosecution said it was an “unlinned attack” at a 2023 nightclub.
Brown was charged with an incident that occurred on February 19, 2023, when the singer allegedly attacked a music producer with a bottle in the Tape nightclub in downtown London.
The 36-year-old singer was arrested in a hotel in Manchester, northern England, and attended the Manchester magistrates court on Friday morning. Prosecutor Hannah Nicholls said Brown committed an “unlimited attack with a gun in a nightclub full of people.”

The R&B star, known for hits such as “Loyal”, “Run It” and “Under the Influence”, would start a world tour next month, including concerts in Manchester.
Brown, twice winner of the Grammy Award, had scheduled his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour on June 8 in the Netherlands.
Judge Joanne Hirst determined to maintain Brown’s custody before her next presentation at the Southwark Crown Court in London on June 13.
