A 35-year-old man was arrested by PSP in Lisbon last Tuesday, May 13, for being involved in two robberies-one with aggression and one by sticking. The crimes occurred at dawn on May 10 and were crucial for the investigation, as they were captured by the surveillance cameras of a Tesla in TVDE service.
The most dramatic moment happened in Poço do Borratém, where the suspect stole his mobile phone to a tourist and eventually caused him to fall when he tried to chase him. The incident was widely shared on social networks thanks to the images collected by the Tesla Chamber, which circulated in the area and captured everything.
Based on the images, the investigators were able to identify and locate the robber, who already had antecedents for theft and theft. He was present in court and was in pre -trial detention, the most serious coercion measure.
The PSP also confirmed that the same individual tried to steal another man on April 1, on Almirante Reis Avenue, assaulting the victim with a punch, although to no avail.
Interestingly, the tourist theft was just one of two crimes committed almost simultaneously tonight and both were captured by the same car. The perpetrator of the second theft, who stole the suitcase of a TVDE passenger while the car was stopping to help the first victim, had been previously detained and is also in pre -trial detention.
The PSP stressed that this type of investigations are priority and reinforce the sense of security with the population, and represent a strong deterrent to potential robbers.
