Three Algarvian associations launch coffee projects to support business ideas and train young entrepreneurs

The promotion of entrepreneurship and the creation of qualified employment are the objectives of Café Projects-enabling and fostering entrepreneurship, created by three Algarve Regional Development Associations, was announced this Thursday.

In-Loco, based in Querença, in the municipality of Loulé, Land of Baixo Guadiana, based in Alcoutim, and Vicentina, which represents the municipalities of the Southwest and is located in Bensafrim, in the municipality of Lagos, are the three associations that are promoting the Café projects, needed the promoters in a statement.

Café Projects – Train, support and foster entrepreneurship are funded by the Algarve 2030 regional program and aim to “streamline entrepreneurship and promote qualified job creation” in the region, they highlighted.

It is planned to hold a seminar, on May 28, at the Municipal Library of Silves, to “make known” the initiative and “the services it offers”, anticipated the associations, referring the promotion of the program soon. Registration in the seminar is free through the link:

“Projects take place between April 2025 and March 2027 with actions on the ground in all parishes of the Algarve, and aims to empower and support young and potential entrepreneurs; promote sustainable and innovative micro -entrepreneurship; to stimulate collaborative networks and socioeconomic resilience; increase the effectiveness of entrepreneurship support services,” he said.

During the two -year period of the Café Projects, awareness sessions will be held to disseminate support for entrepreneurship or training and training on topics such as circular economy, sustainable tourism, social innovation and digital marketing, they pointed out.

Topics such as individualized consultancy and mentoring to support business ideas and business projects and activities to exchange experiences and promote the connection between entrepreneurs, the prosecutors mentioned.

“Seminars and communication campaigns to publicize the results and involve the community are also foreseen, added the associations, stressing that the initiative has the collaboration of the municipalities of Algarve, the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) and professional insertion offices and local associations.

“Promoting associations are non -profit entities with decades of experience in local development. They work in various domains, from the valorization of the territory, the training of communities and the economic dynamization, focusing on rural territories,” they said.
