Welfare Minister Wolney Queiroz and Senator Sergio Moro (Union-PR) starred in an exchange of accusations on Thursday (15) during a session in Congress. The clash began when Queiroz questioned Moro about the fraud at the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), which had occurred since 2020, during which time the former judge held the position of Minister of Justice and Public Security.
Wolney Queiroz pointed out that allegations of undue discounts on social security benefits were made to the Federal Police (PF) in 2020, while Moro was responsible for the portfolio. ‘Senator, it seems that you were Minister of Justice at this time. The climate warmed even more when Queiroz suggested that Moro, as Minister of Justice, had an obligation to be informed about the fraud. ‘Senator, I did not want to stay here in this chat with you with you, but as a minister of justice, you were much more obliged to know this than me,’ said the minister.
