The attack with civilian victims came only hours after the Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in Istanbul.

Nine people died and four suffered injuries in the Russian attack by a drone on a minibus with civilians in the Ukrainian area, the representatives announced on Saturday. This is reported by AFP and Sky News and BBC.

“Unfortunately, as a result of the cynical attack of the Russians on a bus with civilians, they are dead,” wrote the military administration in the post on the telegram platform to photographs of destroyed blue minibus. She added that nine people were killed in the attack and four were injured. The vehicle was heading to the city.

The governor of the Suma region Oleh Hryhorov described the Russian attack as “inhuman”.

“It’s not just about further bombardment – it’s a cynical war crime,” the Ukrainian police said on the telegram.

Reuters writes that the Russian news agency TASS, referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that Russian forces hit the drones instead of gathering Ukrainian military equipment in the Suma region.

The Supply area borders on the Russian Kurst area and has repeatedly the target of Russian attacks during the more than three years of war, especially in recent months, writes Reuters.

Sky News recalls that the attack occurred only an hour after direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations took place on Friday in Istanbul, Turkey. The parties agreed to extensive exchange of prisoners of war, but did not agree on a ceasefire. The head of the Ukrainian delegation and Minister of Defense Rust Umerov said that both parties would work on detailed proposals.

According to him, the next step should be the meeting of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin.
