Samir Xaud, president of the Roraimense Football Federation (FRF), won the air of favoritism for the presidency of the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) and practically makes it impossible to make an election by winning the support of 22 of the country’s 27 federations.
As to run for presidency you need your candidacy to be supported by at least eight federations and five clubs ,. The information was initially published by Estadão and confirmed by the report of the CNN Sports.
Therefore, it is enough to add only five teams to approve the presence of Xaud in the election, if there is no major change of trajectory in the coming days. Of the 22 federations won, 19 were those who signed the manifesto, without mentioning Ednaldo Rodrigues, supporting a new election in and reinforcing the request for a change in control of the entity.

41 years old, is a doctor, entrepreneur and natural sports manager of Boa Vista, Roraima. Specializing in infectiousology and sports medicine, he served as director of the Roraima General Hospital and owns a training center focused on well-being and health.
In politics, he was a candidate for state deputy for the PV in 2018, receiving 2,069 votes, and the MDB federal deputy in 2022, with 4,816 votes, becoming first alternate.
In January 2025, he was elected president of the Roraimense Football Federation (FRF), succeeding his father, Zeca Xaud, who led the entity for about 50 years.
