Dill is an excellent side dish and a lot of food. However, it quickly loses its freshness in bad storage. What can be done to last longer? We are not talking about freezing. Just use a simple patent for cups.

The dill is probably the most popular Slovak herb alongside the parsley (Although we know that not everyone likes him). Its young shoots are added to sauces, soups, salads and wedges and, for example, potatoes. It is also the basic component of the pickled cucumbers.

However, fresh dill can wilted quickly if you do not need it immediately after you buy or store it badly. We recommend taking a burned and dry container.

Dill – medical characteristics

  • Kill It is a rich source of vitamins A, C, D, E, K and group B. It also contains many minerals including phosphorus, iron, potassium, magnesium and calcium.
  • It also has a supportive effect on digestion. It can help with digestive disorders, abdominal pain and flatulence.
  • The dill also provides antioxidants that have an anti -inflammatory effect.
  • And beta -carotene, which is a precursor of vitamin A, has a positive effect on eyesight.

How do you extend the freshness of dill? Prepare a sharp knife and a clean container

It is not enough just to insert the dill bundles freely in the refrigerator. In this way, the herb quickly loses its freshness and aroma. However, there is another way in which dill lasts up to two months.

  1. First you have to evaporate the container and then wipe it dry. Thus, any bacteria should not endanger our dill.
  2. Later, rinse the dill, dry and cut the stems.
  3. Cut the leaves finely and place them in the glass. Close it firmly and place it in the refrigerator.

There is an even more effective way.

  1. You have to proceed in the same way as above, ie rinse it and dry, then cut off the thicker stems and cut the rest in detail.
  2. You will also need salt – 250 g of thick salt per 5 bundles.
  3. Store the ingredients alternately in the container – start with a layer of salt, put a layer of dill on it and sprinkle with salt again.
  4. Repeat this procedure until you end up with the ingredients, and the last layer must also be salt.
  5. Close the lid tightly.

You will never hide the dill again in the ice cream box. This method of freezing is much better
