The cube has fallen: With 0.103 seconds, a robot of a team of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, undercut the record time to solve a rubic cube around a lump. The previous record of a team to Mitsubishi electrical engineers was only set up last year and was 0.305 seconds. A person’s world record is 3.05 seconds and was set up by Xuanyi Geng in April 2025 in a competition in the Chinese Shenyang.
