Dorian Estrada, 41, is a cartoonist who is successful on Carnavossis nights 2025. He dedicates the last decade of his life to life to caricatures that capture the essence of each individual who passes through his hands. Contilnet talks to him this Saturday (17).

His journey began in school times, where his teachers’ fun scratches already foreshadowed a special gift: “Since school, I designed my teachers in caricatures,” he remembers with a smile.
The architecture, a course he chose at the university, initially seemed to be his way, but the design, which was always a hobby, pulsed stronger inside.
“I studied architecture at university and the drawing was a hobby, a hobby until I won a national contest in Peru,” he says, revealing the inflection point in his trajectory.

“From this contest is that I start to do caricatures in newspapers, in the press and later I start to make caricatures for people on custom and participating in events like these. In this way I was developing this art,” he says.
For Dorian, drawing is much more than a simple visual representation.
“It’s like a means of expression and identification of people,” he explains with Passion. “Especially for those who want to have a detail with some dear being, father, mother, husbands, children, some birthday or even people who have died, who have died, want to have a memory of them, so it has an emotional meaning.”
After five years dedicated to architecture, the passion for art spoke louder.
“I worked in architecture five years, but when I was three or four years old, it was when I definitely decided to leave architecture and dedicate myself to art for the ten years I am working now,” says Dorian.

Carivassis 2025 is a realization of the City Hall of Assis Brazil, which celebrates 49 years, and has the support of Sebrae and the Government of Acre.
