According to the profile of Lopes no, she has been, since 2020, the central director of (God’s work in Latin), prelature of the Catholic Church founded in 1928 by a Spanish priest.
Prelature’s performance in several countries is the target of recurring criticism, because of its conservatism and its discreet character. Brazilians also worked, from 2010 to 2020, as regional director of the organization.

Published on the Opus Dei website, Lopes, who has a degree in Chemistry from (University of Brasilia), said he moved to Rome to join the central advisory of the organization, team of 7 people who prepares the centenary celebrations of the “work”, scheduled for 2028.
