Germany Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Sunday that he, along with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Poland, intended to talk to Donald Trump before the planned connection with Russian President Vladimir Putin next Monday (19).
Merz said he discussed the issue with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while the two participated in the Vatican.
He said he also talked a lot with the Ukrainian President ,.
“I talked to Marco Rubio, including tomorrow’s call. We agreed to talk again with the four state leaders and the US president in preparation for this conversation [com Putin]”Merz told reporters.
Donald Trump published on Truth social network that on Monday (19) at 10h00 (local time).
The leaders will talk about the war: “It will be: stop the” bloodbath “that is killing, on average, more than five thousand Russian and Ukrainian soldiers per week and the trade,” he said in the publication.
