O Singer JJ, from Austriawas the big winner of the 69th edition of the Eurovision 2025which arrived at the end this Saturday (17), with The song “Wasted Love”.
That was the Austria’s third victory in the competitionwinning earlier in 1966, with Udo Jürgens and the song “Merci, Chérie”, and in 2014, with Conchita Wurst and the song “Rise Like a Phoenix”.
The four -hour presentation event, with the 26 competing songs being presented to the public, whose official transmission on YouTube overcame over 1.4 million simultaneous viewers.
In recent weeks, European betting houses bet on the Kaj triofrom Sweden, as the big winner of the competition, with a tribute to the saunas. The group was fourth in the overall ranking.
The competition has taken place since 1956 and consecrated some important artists, such as A abba bandwho won the contest in 1974; Celine Dionwho was champion in 1988; and more recently Italian Banda Maneskinwhich won the 2021 edition.
In 2025, Celine Dion made a surprise appearance during the competition, in which she recalled her experience in the program. “Winning the festival was an incredibly transforming moment For me and I’m grateful to everyone who supported me on this beautiful journey, ”he said in a message recorded to competitors.
