Van Aert wins ninth Giro stage, Roglic loses a lot of time

Siena-A fall on the white gravel slopes of the Tuscany cost top favorite Primož Roglic important time in the fight for overall victory at the Giro d’Italia. The Slovenian captain from the Red Bull team reached the destination on the Piazza del Campo in Siena on the 9th stage after 181 km behind day winner Woout van Aert. Roglic overall slipped to tenth place and is now 2:25 minutes behind Isaac del Toro, the first Mexican in the pink jersey.
