Bones of broth, roasted meat or chicken – seem to go to biowaste. Nothing can be further from the truth! In fact, many of us unconsciously separate them, which affects the environment and the efficiency of waste processing. Find out what container should be thrown away from meat remnants and why it is so important to follow this rule.
Patria bones to biowaste?
Although it may seem that bones as natural material belong to bio -waste, most bone species are not suitable for this container. Biowaste containers are designed especially for plant residues, ie fruits, vegetables, skin, coffee deposits, egg shells or thin twigs. These components are composed by composting and convert to valuable fertilizer.
On the contrary, Meat and bones decompose differently – they spread the smell, they can attract rodents and contain dangerous pathogensthat should not get into the compost. In addition, the bones they decompose very slowlythus disrupting the entire biowaste decomposition process.
Bones and meat residues – where to throw them away?
- In the vast majority of cases, the bones should be thrown into a mixed waste container. All meat residues, bones, animal excrements and animal products that are not suitable for composting should go here.
Why is it so important? It is crucial to obtain clean material without undesirable components in facilities processing biological waste. Ejecting animal waste into bio -waste can lead to serious technological and hygiene problems.
