BRASILIA, DF (Folhapress) – Bolivia’s court decided to expel trafficker Marcos Roberto de Almeida from the country, the Tuta, appointed as head of the criminal faction PCC (first command of the capital).

The decision was made after the judicial hearing that determined the expulsion – which requires the immediate departure of the country.

The criminal is already on his way to Brazil, on a Federal Police plane, according to people along with the case.
Tuta will be sent to a federal prison, but there is still no definition of which of the five units in which it would be allocated. CCP leader Marcola is currently in the federal prison of Brasilia.

The trafficker was arrested last Friday (16) for the use of a fake document, trying to renew his foreigner registration in Bolivia, but Tuta has been on the run for five years, since he was sentenced to 12 years in prison in Brazil for crimes of criminal organization, money laundering and drug trafficking.

At the time, the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service carried out a joint operation with the Military Police to try to arrest a group of CCP -linked criminals, including Tuta.

In a press conference on Saturday (17), Federal Police Director-General Andrei Rodrigues said that as soon as he learned of the arrest, the Minister of Justice, Ricardo Lewandowski, said, who in turn announced President Lula (PT) and Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.

“As soon as I communicated to the minister, he congratulated the action of the Federal Police. Of course, he was pleased with the outcome of international cooperation-which resulted in the arrest of a member of a Brazilian criminal faction,” said the director-general.
Before, there was still the possibility of Bolivia deciding to extradite Tuta. In this case, the transfer process to Brazil would be longer, depending on the formal procedures necessary between the judiciary two countries.
