Corinthians won Santos, a penultimate place in the Brazilian Championship, 1-0 in the classic Paulista played on Sunday afternoon (18) at Neo Chemistry Arena.

After the Corinthians goal in the second half, Santos had difficulty threatening the draw. The situation was complicated on 34 minutes, when the left-back Escobar took the second yellow card and was sent off.
With the defeat, Santos remains in the relegation zone of the Brazilian – the club has five points. Corinthians reached 13 points and went to eighth position in the table.
Santos can again have Neymar in their next match for the Brazilian Cup, on Thursday (22) against the CRB.
In the next round of the Brazilian, Corinthians faces Atletico-MG and Santos takes Vitória.
