Anyone with the irregular electoral situation may have the title canceled and face restrictions like not being able to renew the passport
Voters from all over the country have until this Monday (19.MAI.2025) to regularize any pending issues before the Electoral Court and to avoid cancellation of the voter registration.
The deadline is for those who have not voted or justified the absence in the last 3 votes (considering each shift as a vote) and did not pay the corresponding fine – the amount is $ 3.51 per shift that the voter failed to vote or justify the absence.
If the pending issues are not regularized, the voter title is canceled. Without a valid voter title, the citizen faces restrictions such as not being able to renew the passport, receive remuneration of public office, participate in public tender and renew enrollment in a public educational institution.
How to check pending
To find out if you are on the list of people who may have the canceled voter title, the citizen must access the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) website and click.
It is possible to verify the electoral situation through the application or in person in the electoral notaries. The service is free and should be performed only on official Electoral Justice websites.
What to do in case of pending
The regularization of electoral issues can be done in person in the electoral notaries, by or by e-title.
Then it is necessary to pay the fines related to absences through ticket, pix or card. The discharge will be recorded automatically after payment confirmation.
