From 2026, it will offer four vacancies per year for a classroom stage of three months in Bonn, at. The chosen ones receive a fixed monthly allowance during the program.
Only registration of trained journalists will be accepted, with priority for women, LGBTQia+, black, brown, indigenous and disabled people.
The proposal is to offer journalists with experience in newsrooms in Brazil the opportunity to work abroad.
Registration runs until June 30th. Candidates must send resume to the subject “Program of Visiting Journalists”.
DW does not generally cover travel costs, visa or health insurance. However, it can help with passages to selected journalists who prove lack of resources.
The chosen candidates will be informed by the end of the year of the program.
