Coach Vanderlei Luxembourg announced on Sunday (18/05) his retirement as a soccer coach. In an interview with “Xicotv” on Instagram, Luxa assured that she no longer wants to get back to the team.

– I no longer intend to be a soccer coach. It gave my time. It’s part, I had recent invitations to return to football. I saw what is happening in football, this mess that is football, and I said I don’t want to, I don’t want it here anymore, ”he said.

Luxembourg also criticized the CBF, citing the departures of three former presidents of the entity -Ricardo Teixeira, Rogério Caboclo and, more recently, Ednaldo Rodrigues -stating that the political issue influences on the field.

– The CBF has just lost its president, Ednaldo. Ricardo (Teixeira) was removed, Caboclo was removed… What did they do in football, except to play Brazil (down)? Nor candidate to win a World Cup Brazil is placed. Just for the past, not by the present, ”he said.

Luxembourg also said he can continue working, but not in football. The now former coach said he can follow the path of politics.

– I can’t stop working. We public people who have notoriety and we can influence people’s lives, we have to create opportunities to help growth. I will make myself available to something I can do, not as a coach and former player. I can contribute out of football in politics. It’s something I always militated, ”he said.
