PM's 109th anniversary commemorative exhibition attracts Via Verde Shopping public

Attentive and curious looks, interaction with the public and many applause marked the PMAC 109 years exhibition, which took place this Saturday, at Via Verde Shopping. The event is part of the commemorative program of the 109th anniversary of the Acre Military Police (PMAC) and aims to present the diversity of services provided by the institution, as well as promoting the approach to the community.

The exhibitors were the Special Operations Battalion (Bope) and their companies (CPCães, Shock, Giro and Rotam), the Environmental Policing Battalions (BPA) and Traffic (BPTran), the 1st and 3rd Battalions of the Capital, the Patrol Coordination Maria da Penha (CPMP), as well as the Teaching and Health Boards.

At the entrance, the imposing vehicles already suggested the presence of the Military Police at the scene. Upon entering and visiting the booths, people were able to learn more about the military career and the services offered by PMAC, and were comfortable getting to know, play, photograph and ask questions about weapons, vehicles, uniforms, insignia (symbols) and the various accessories used.

Police dogs made demonstrations of acting in the location of weapons and drugs and caught the attention of adults and children. A jiu-jitsu class in the middle of the mall with the students of the project “Force and Honor” also aroused the admiration of those who passed, as well as the young people of the “Banda Mirim” project.

Major Marcos Lima, organizer of the event, explains the main objective. “The search for such an event is precisely to show society that the Military Police goes beyond preventive and ostensible policing, it also has community and social care activities to the citizen,” he said.

With the delivery of materials and guidelines to the public, BPTran police officers and the Maria da Penha Patrol Coordination (CPMP) took the opportunity to promote the “May Yellow” campaigns (month of accident prevention and traffic deaths) and not! ”Against harassment and sexual harassment.

While the exhibition took place in other points in the mall, the PMAC Music Band, affectionately nicknamed “A Furiosa”, occupied the food court and had a varied musical repertoire, providing a moment of relaxation, well -being and joy to those present.

Little Matteo Santi, who celebrated his 8 years, won a special “congratulations” to the chords of a furious and sung by the audience watching the show. His mother, Giuliana Santi, was delighted with the gesture and talked about the event. “The booths are all wonderful. We see that the community really honors other presentations like this because it is wonderful to be closer to the Military Police in such a fantastic way, sharing your daily lives [policiais] And all that is good, ”he said.

Both the presentation and the exhibition were honored by the PMAC Commander-General, Colonel Marta Renata Freitas, and also by the deputy commander, Colonel Kleison Albuquerque. The special program continues this Sunday, 18, with the traditional Tiradentes race.
