Pope Leo XIV met on Monday (19) with the vice president of the United States, Jd Vance, and the Secretary of State of Unidos, Marco Rubio.
The meeting took place after the Pontiff’s inaugural mass, which took place at São Pedro Square, on Sunday (18).
The ceremony was attended by several world leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as the American delegation.
After the hearing with the Pope, Vance met with archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, secretary for relations with international states and organizations.
