Asparagus, and maybe green vegetables for fried eggs – it is in these dishes that asparagus reigns. It is worth eating them not only because of the great taste, but also numerous health properties. However, let’s also consider all contraindications. We take a closer look at the influence of asparagus on our health.
Asparagus show a positive effect on intestinal health and digestive processes. All because of the presence in the composition of vitamins: C and K and magnesium. We also assign anti -inflammatory effects to these vegetables.
What’s more, they contain prebiotics, which are a breeding ground for good intestinal bacteria. Therefore, they support the balance of intestinal microflora. In turn, the dietary fiber contained in their composition prevents constipation and supports intestinal peristalsis.
Asparagus positively affects the functioning of the liver. They have a diuretic effect, removing excess toxins from the body, which is important when detoxifying this organ.
Sulfur compounds detoxify the body, and antioxidants, i.e. vitamins C, E and glutathione, effectively protect the liver from free radicals.
Asparagus support maintaining the normal level of cholesterol in the bloodwhich relieves the liver – the organ responsible for both its production and decomposition. Thanks to this, the risk of overloading is reduced.
