APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency, in partnership with the municipality of Albufeira, completed a promotional action in Canada and the United States, from 12 to 16 May. Roadshow has gone through two strategic cities, Toronto and New York, with the aim of consolidating the presence of Albufeira in the American and Canadian markets.
The initiative, inserted in the APAL activity plan to 2025, aimed to increase the visibility and competitiveness of the Algarve destination with travel agents, tour operators and specialized media. The workshops took place in Toronto on 13 May and in New York, 15, allowing direct contact with industry professionals and the reinforcement of institutional and commercial ties.

The entourage was attended by several members and partners of the tourist sector, who participated in networking and promotion sessions, presenting Albufeira as an attractive destination, especially for prolonged stays during the winter.
This action gains special importance with the start of United airline direct flights between Newark (New Jersey) and Faro, who started on May 17. The new air connection is seen as an opportunity to reinforce Albufeira’s position as a preferential destination for North America tourists.

Roadshow also represents the continuity of actions carried out in 2024 in the cities of New York and Boston, inserting a long-term strategy for the internationalization of destination. Apal stresses that these initiatives are aligned with the development, promotion and capture of new tourists 2030, defined by the municipality of Albufeira.
The agency thanks all the associates involved and highlights the importance of promoting actions that consolidate Albufeira’s notoriety in the main international emitting markets.
