The Royal Union of Lidia Bull Breeders (RUCTL) honored the founding irons of the organization in 1905 throughout a gala, held last night in Madrid and chaired by Infanta Elena to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of the organization.
Likewise, the right -handed Enrique Ponce, “for his commitment to the Bravo Toro”, the Vall de Uxó (Castellón), for their support to the popular celebration, the Valduero wineries, committed company award, and the Larborghini automotive brand, which received the Pride Pride of Bravo, were awarded.
“This award is not just a tribute, it is an act of historical justice, because we owe them the germ of everything: the foundation of this house, the defense of the brave bull in its integrity and the firm will to protect it for coming generations.” With these words of the journalist José Ribagorda, presenter of the act, began recognition to the farmers who created the union of breeders 120 years ago.
On behalf of all of them, the farmer Juan Pedro Domecq received from Infanta Elena a commemorative plaque that he described as “the most sense that I have had to collect in all the years of my life, which fills me with responsibility for representing legendary irons that have built the history of the Spanish brave field.”
The Mayor of Madrid, the Minister of the Environment and Agriculture and Interior of the Community of Madrid, and various political representatives of Castilla y León and Extremadura attended a gala that, in the words of the president of the RUCTL, Antonio Bañuelos, “commemorates a story that not only belongs to this institution, but also the living history of the Bravo Camp freedom, in diversity and rural identity. ”
The organization had a memory for the Nobel Prize for Literature Mario Vargas Llosa, recently deceased, showed its support to Mexico, for the difficult bullfighting situation it is suffering, and presented the new advertising spot of the organization.
