An incidence in the Telefónica network for update works have left a part of the lines throughout Spain on Tuesday, also being affected by the 112 emergency services in several autonomous communities.
“We have done some network update work that has affected specific services in some companies. We are working on solving it,” said a telephone spokesman.
Emergency services from different regions have already activated alternative telephone communication chances. The 112 Emergency Service of the Generalitat Valenciana has activated an alternative number to the possible difficulties that some users may experience. This is 96 342 80 00.
For its part, the 112 in Aragon reports, through its social networks, that “the 112 phone is inoperative.” This public body has activated three alternative telephone numbers while the incidence is solved
Pot its part, the Basque Government has asked citizens to, in case of emergency, call 900 112 088 due to the incidents with the telephone calls of some people who were trying to contact the 112 that have been detected in the Emergency Management Center and that they are trying to solve.
As explained by the Department of Security, around four in the morning, the operators of the Emergency Care Center have noticed “the problems with some of the calls that entered the call center“.
Specifically, some of the communicating people have had to “insist more on the call” and when they entered “the voice of people broke.” Therefore, the operators of the center have “releasing” these people who were attempted to contact the telephone 112. The incidence does not affect all calls, but occurs randomly and, as Security has specified, is foreign to the Emergency Management Center of the Basque Government and “has also been detected in other emergency management centers.”
