The Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, argued to give “time to time” so that China can begin to reduce the sanctions imposed on Brazilian chicken due to cases of confirmed aviary flu last week.
According to him, there is “evidence” that the Asian giant can regionalize the restrictions on the purchase of chicken, but caution is needed.
“We have to be very careful to pronounce now. We need transparency in driving. There are indications that it can be regionalized, but 5 days is very little time for them to feel confident to regionalize.”
