Lech Walesa criticizes Orban and supports Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Former Polish President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa in Budapest cautiously criticized Prime Minister Viktor Orban. He described the former deputy deputy Polish Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski, who last year Hungary granted asylum and strongly supported the accession of Ukraine to the European Union, wrote on Tuesday server Privatbankar.hu, informs TASR newsletter in Budapest.

Walesa participated in the Budapest’s Security Policy conference on Monday, organized by the Institute of Egyensúly Intézet.

Criticism of Orban’s policy

“I helped Viktor Orbán a lot, but I don’t like what I hear about him now,” said 82-year-old Polish ex-president on the question about Orban’s policy towards Ukraine and Russia. He added that Ukraine needs to be admitted to the EU.

He said about Romanowski that he was a thief and a criminal. “He should be given and brought to justice. There were very good relationships between the two nations, it was a pity to spoil them like this. Tell me where he is (Romanowski), I will take it home,” he added. He noted that Hungary will also get rid of such people and that the Hungarian Prime Minister would also be responsible for his actions.

Wales’s political message

Walesa is a former electrician. In the Gdan shipyard during the domination of the Communist Party in 1980, he led a strike and co -founded independent trade unions Solidarity.

In 1983 he won the Nobel Peace Award and in 1999 it was ranked among the 100 most important politicians of the 20th century, writes Privatbankar.hu.
