The eventual trip of the Federal Deputy (-SP) to the General Secretariat of the Presidency will open a vacancy in the House of Representatives to Professor Ricardo Galvão (Rede-SP), currently National President of CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development).
He is the first alternate of the Federation formed by PSOL and Network.
Galvão would have to leave the command of the body to exercise the mandate. Allies still debate whether this change would be advantageous.
“Professor Galvão is keeping dialogues with the party and its leaders about the next steps,” says Giovanni Mockus, a member of the national direction of the network.
He argues that Galvão assumes the parrlamentian mandate. “In this moment of widespread negationism, a scientist in the House of Representatives would make a great contribution to Brazil. Helping, besides guiding strategic debates, to modernize the federal legislation of science and technology,” says Mockus.
