The investigation, it is recalled, came from a complaint on suspicions of forgery, abuse of power, corruption and prevarication.
The Supreme Court (STJ) informs, on Tuesday, that it ordered the “filing of the investigation over the complaint against former Justice Minister, Francisca Van Dunem, and others”.
At issue, the Supreme Court recalls, was “the practice of crimes of falsification, abuse of power, corruption and prevarication, related to selection by the Portuguese state of the European attorney.”
“In this case, which referred to the alleged indication of erroneous curriculum elements related to one of the candidates for the position of national European prosecutor by the Portuguese government, the STJ concluded that any of these crimes have not been verified,” reads the STJ statement to which SIC had access.
