According to Czech President Petr Pavel, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is unsustainable and requires an urgent solution. According to him, the Czech Republic should separate its general support for Israel from the support of the steps taken by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu and make it clear. He said this on Tuesday during a visit to Brussels, reports TASR.
„It is quite clear that the humanitarian situation in Gaza becomes unsustainable and that it requires a very urgent solution. For us, it should be one: to separate our general support for Israel from the support of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and – to put it better – all the steps he is doing. We can identify with some, certainly not with some. And probably would be right to make it clear”Said Pavel.
According to him, the Czech Republic wants the Humanitarian aid to flow into the Gaza Strip. At the same time He stressed that the only thing that can bring peace and peace to the region is a two -state solution. “We should insist on this, any search for handles will not help us and we should say quite clearly that humanitarian respects are important to us, whoever is concerned,” added the Czech President.
The support of humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip on Tuesday was also confirmed by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský. He reminded that Last year, the CR enclave provided mainly food aid of 20 million crowns (more than 800,000 euros). However, he pointed out that the entire aid process must be organized so that it cannot “nourish” Hamaswho, in his words, is constantly continuing to attack Israel.
France, the United Kingdom and Canada condemned Israel’s actions on Monday and expressed their disagreement with its widespread offensive in the enclave. They criticized the representatives of the Israeli government for their threats by mass resettlement of civilians and warned against specific measures against Israel, including sanctions, for his activities in the Gaza Strip and on the West Bank of Jordan. Lipavský said on Tuesday that the initiatives of these countries that called on humanitarian aid were not fundamental.
