The plan includes the complete renewal of the Arthur Ashe stadium, where is the central court of the American Grand Slam, and the construction of a new performance center for tennis players.

The investment will be fully financed by the USTA itself, without the use of public resources. “This project allows us to maintain the biggest stage of tennis-the Arthur Ashe Stadium-which was built for over 25 years, and modernizes it in a way that will make him prepared for the next 25 years.”said Lew Sherr, CEO of USTA, in an official statement.

Sherr added: “This also gives us the opportunity to give players who compete in that stadium an unmatched space that will allow them to give their best and enjoy a higher level of luxury and comfort when they are off the court.”
