Faulty voters who did not regularize the situation before Monday (19), when the legal deadline has ended, will have the voter title automatically canceled.
The measure applies to voters who did not vote, did not justify the absence and did not pay the fine regarding it in the last three consecutive, including shifts and supplementary claims.
The cancellation of the registration will be effected from next week, from May 30 to June 2, according to the rule of the (Superior Electoral Court) that deals with the matter.
It is subject to cancellation, for example, the title of those who did not vote in two shifts of the 2024 elections – when there – and in the second round of the neither justified or paid the fines.
The voter title of those with optional vote (illiterate, under 18 years old, over 70 or those with extreme difficulty to vote due to disability) is not subject to cancellation.
Until Monday, according to data from the TSE, the country accounted for more than 5.3 million missing voters in the country. Only 168,900 had sought the Electoral Justice to resolve the situation.
Without the title up to date, the citizen can suffer restrictions. Regularity is required for registration in competitions, receipt of remuneration of public positions and participation in administrative competition.
It is also a requirement for passport and identity card, renew enrollment at official educational institutions and performing acts that require the discharge of military service or income tax.
Even after the deadline, the voter can normally regularize the situation with the Electoral Court through the Electoral Self -Service of the TSE or to personally go to the electoral registry.
The fine, if due, is paid by shift. Payment can be made by electoral self-service, e-title or notary (by ticket, or card). The discharge is recorded after payment confirmation.
The cancellation of the electoral registration of deceased, in turn, may be requested by relatives or representatives of parties through the presentation of the death certificate to the Electoral Justice.
