National Consensual Solution Front will prioritize administrative measures to avoid overload of the judiciary
The AGU (Attorney General of the Union) brought together on Tuesday (20.MAI.2025) representatives of DPU (Public Defender’s Office) and state public defenders to create a National Front for Protection to Retired and Pensioners of the INSS (National Institute of Social Security) who were victims of fraud.
During the meeting, which lasted about two hours, participants discussed strategies to serve this vulnerable population that had, for example, undue discounts on their payments by associations. The initiative, called the National Consensed Solution Front, will prioritize administrative solutions to prevent the overload of the judiciary.
“We have already identified, for example, cases where retirees and pensioners were victims of married sales, consent addictions, with the participation of banks, financial institutions, brokerages”, AGU Minister Jorge Messias said.
According to the head of DPU, Leonardo Cardoso de Magalhães, cooperation includes both the federal and the state level. From the 1st meeting, working groups will be formed to continue the dialogue between the institutions
“We are privileging and betting on the administrative solution to avoid collapse of the justice system”AGU Deputy Chief Junior Fideles said. “There are already 4 million social security actions in processing. If half of the potential victims decided to judicialize, we would have 4 million shares, which would bring immense damage to the judiciary and for social security itself.”he said.
The INSS will implement face -to -face care for retirees and pensioners who have identified undue discounts on their benefits. Currently, beneficiaries should use the my INSS application or call the number 135.
