(Reuters)-Azul () can make a request for judicial recovery in the United States, or Chapter 11, “next week” and discusses with creditors a financing of about $ 600 million to support the company during the process, Bloomberg published on Wednesday, citing sources with knowledge of the subject.
“The discussions are underway and the plans are not definitive, but Azul seeks sufficient support from creditors for a restructuring support agreement,” the agency said, citing sources.
Azul’s shares showed a strong drop this afternoon, retreating 4.6% at 3:41 pm, while Ibovespa showed a fall of 1.6%. In the United States, the company’s ADRs showed a low of 6.7%.
