US President Donald Trump’s plan for a golden dome (Golden Dome) that would protect the United States against long -range missiles was inspired, at least in part, by the antimysis defenses in multiple layers of Israel.
Trump announced the $ 175 billion concept in the Oval Hall on Tuesday, saying that the system would place US weapons in space for the first time and would be “totally operational” until the end of his term in early 2029-although a US official familiar with the program said it could take longer.

“Once fully built, the golden dome will be able to intercept missiles even if they are thrown across the world, or even space, and we will have the best system ever built,” said Trump.
