The auction of the soy processor imcopa, based in Araucaria (PR), was scheduled for next July 3rd. The decision was made by Judge Mariana Gluszcynski Fowler Gusso of the Court of Paraná and is expected to end a legal dispute that has lasted years.
The definition of the date is the newest chapter of the fight between the former owners of Imbol and the Petrópolis Group. Last year, the STJ had overthrown an injunction obtained by the company’s former controllers and transferred possession to the owners of Itaipava beer.
About three years ago, Petrópolis filed a series of complaints against imcopa statutory directors, accusing managers of acting as “oranges” and making financial deviations in favor of Ruy del Gaiso and Renato Mazzuchelli, partners at R2C investment manager.

Imcopa is a company with over 50 years of history, has two industrial plants and is one of the world leaders in transgenic soy processing. Company’s plants are able to crush 1.5 million tons of soybeans a year, and 240,000 tonne -concentrated soy protein production capacity, and can get 80,000 refined soybean bottles per hour.
