“In these almost ten years of living with Fabio Wanjgarten, he was not only an ally and unconditional defender of President Bolsonaro, but also of his whole family,” he told the panel.
Wajngarten, former Bolsonaro Management Communication Secretary with Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, who said he preferred Lula to Michelle as presidential candidate.
Nabhan said he was convinced that the message exchange was an informal joke. He added that “sincerely” did not understand Wajngarten’s resignation by the party, where he was working in the areas of communication and legal. He was one of the closest advisers to Bolsonaro.
“Former President Bolsonaro always had two things he told me that he took very seriously: friendship and gratitude. I’m sure [ex-] President will circumvent this embarrassing situation, “he said.
The ruralist leader also stated that Wajngarten was one of those who remained faithful to Bolsonaro after his departure from the presidency, and that this needs to be recognized.
“I saw how much he dedicated himself before, during and after the presidency. Many disappeared, but Fabio Wajngarten continued there,” he said.
