An international exhibition took place in the Czech town of Hradec Králová over the weekend. On Saturday, May 17. Between 11:10 and 11:35, an unknown perpetrator stole a rare Damascene steel knife with a mammoth handle. Police in identifying a man. “The unknown perpetrator has stolen the knife from a freely accessible table without the use of violence and without overcoming any safety barriers. It was a knife with a blade length of 86 mm, made from Damascene steel. The total length of the knife was 201 mm,” said Czech police spokeswoman Martina Jandová.
She also stated that the handle was made of mammoth Kla white color and the cover was also made of Damascene steel. “This unique knife was made about a year ago and its estimated price is CZK 55,000 (EUR 2,200 – ed. Red),” the spokeswoman added.
Witnesses can help clarify the case
