Vienna – The Gaza War is omnipresent at the universities worldwide – also in Austria. Only one example were the controversial Palestine protest camps in the old AKH in May 2024, in which some saw a legitimate protest against Israel’s disproportionate warfare in Gaza after the Hamas massacre, the others in turn a collection of anti-Semitic ideas. At that time, this camp also caused outrage among the Jewish University of Applied Sciences (Jöh), which complained about an increase in anti -Semitic incidents.
