The Legislative Assembly of approved on Wednesday (21) Deputy Governor Thiago Pampolha (MDB) as counselor of the TCE (State Court of Auditors).
The appointment is the result of a political arrangement to change the succession line of the governor () and to guarantee the President of the Assembly, Rodrigo Bacellar (), the command of the Guanabara Palace next year. He must dispute the state government in evidence in office.
The arrangement was formalized with 57 favorable votes, 5 opposites and 7 abstentions.
Only the deputies of the vote against the nomination.
“It is the deputy governor’s nomination after the former government leader’s nomination [Márcio Pacheco, no ano passado]. He did this for an electoral political arrangement so that the group that is in power can be strengthened and spread its influence on various institutions. We don’t want the ECA to be a pull from any political group, “said Flávio Serafini of PSOL.
PT, PSB and B members of B followed the guidance of abstention, although they praised pampolha.
The approval of the deputy governor had even votes of the PSD, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, who should compete against Bacellar in 2026.
“If inspection is our primary function, what prevents a former deputy from being a member of the ECA? Nothing but prejudice,” said Luiz Paulo (PSD).
Castro recognized the political arrangement, even contradicting the deputy himself, who had said he accepted the nomination as a “life decision.”
“No one here is silly and knows that there is a political issue involved in this. My removal from Thiago eventually turned him away from being my candidate. Today, who brings together the best conditions to continue the work we are doing is Rodrigo Bacellar,” said the governor.
During the speeches, the deputies also criticized the fact that the ECA has adopted, in recent years, a more rigid trend. The model was a consequence of the removal of counselors accused of corruption, determined in the Fifth Operation of the Gold, replaced by supporters of supports of technical origin.
“This indication will return kindness and humanity with municipalities, doing a political dialogue. It is wrong to say that politics is not part of this process,” said Deputy Fred Pacheco (PMN).
